Description

As a Truck Mechanic in Mol, you will take on important responsibilities that ensure the smooth and safe operation of our fleet. Your expertise is essential in keeping the company moving.
Your main task will be to perform maintenance and repair work on our trucks. This can range from routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations, to more complex tasks such as diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues. You will also be responsible for conducting inspections to ensure our trucks meet all safety standards and regulations. A keen eye for detail is required to identify and address potential problems before they become major issues.

In addition, your role as a Truck Mechanic will include some administrative duties. You will keep accurate records of all the work you perform, including any parts ordered or replaced. This information is crucial for maintaining a detailed overview of the condition of each truck in our fleet.
Finally, as a Truck Mechanic, you are an essential part of our team. You will work closely with other team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You are flexible, able to work well under pressure, and always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.

Conditions

• Fully legal employment in accordance with Belgian regulations, including social security, health insurance, and accrual of Belgian pension rights.
• Competitive salary depending on skills and experience (according to official rates or agreements with the client): €17.50 - €20/hour
• Meal vouchers worth €5 per worked day (€105 – €110/month).

• Annual bonus – 8.33% of annual gross salary (around €1,600 net, paid once a year).

Profile

For the position of Truck Mechanic in Mol, we are looking for a candidate who meets the following profile:

• You have completed an education in automotive technology or have equivalent experience. Having a diploma is an advantage but not a requirement — your experience and passion for mechanics are what truly matter.
• You can independently diagnose and repair trucks, including both mechanical and electrical issues.
• You have knowledge of the latest technologies in the trucking industry and are willing to further develop your expertise.
• You are able to work with a variety of tools and can read and interpret technical drawings.
• You are in good physical condition, given the nature of the job.
• You speak in Dutch, English or French. This is important for communication with suppliers and colleagues.

In addition, you possess the following competencies:

• Strong communication skills: You collaborate well with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
