Quality Engineer

Location: West Flanders

Salary: Up To €5,000 Bruto Monthly


Role Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the quality and reliability of sophisticated electromechanical products operating in challenging environments. You will act as a key interface between engineering, production, and supply chain functions to ensure that quality standards are consistently applied from development through to delivery.

Your contribution will directly impact product performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement efforts across the organization.


Core Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the setup, maintenance, and evolution of quality processes aligned with ISO 9001 and applicable regulatory frameworks
  • Carry out inspections and verifications on components, assemblies, and finished systems throughout the production cycle
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate non-conformities and implement effective corrective and preventive measures
  • Lead or support structured problem-solving activities, applying methodologies such as 8D and root cause analysis tools
  • Ensure measuring and test equipment remains compliant through proper calibration and upkeep
  • Provide quality input during product development and industrialization phases to improve robustness and manufacturability
  • Ensure accurate and traceable documentation of all quality-related activities and findings
  • Support configuration control to maintain consistency between design intent and delivered products
  • Act as a communication link for quality-related topics across departments


Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, or similar)
  • Several years of experience in a quality-focused role within a technically demanding environment
  • Solid understanding of quality standards and compliance frameworks (ISO 9001 or equivalent)
  • Exposure to inspection techniques and testing methods, including NDT as a plus
  • Practical experience with problem-solving and improvement tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in addressing issues
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
