💼 BANKING DOMAIN ARCHITECT
Brussels (Montagne du Parc), Belgium (50% onsite / 50% homeworking)

Focus: You define and evolve the functional and technical architecture for the Functions domain (Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Procurement, Communication) within a complex banking environment.
🎯 YOUR ROLE
As a Banking Domain Architect, you design end-to-end solutions and guide architectural evolution across multiple support domains, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and governance standards.
You act as a key architect translating business needs into structured, scalable and well-governed architecture blueprints.
You will:
- Design and evolve the functional and technical architecture within the Functions domain
- Define target and reference architectures aligned with enterprise strategy
- Support transformation of existing application landscape (incl. package & custom solutions)
- Ensure architectural governance and compliance before and after production releases
- Translate business requirements into clear architectural models and solutions

🏗️ Architecture Design & Evolution
- Define project, asset and reference architectures
- Contribute to IT architecture strategy and “city planning” (urbanization rules)
- Model application, system and service architectures
📊 Analysis & Solution Design
- Analyze and define application architectures across domains
- Design integration between systems (technical & functional interfaces)
- Ensure simplification and rationalization of the landscape
🔐 Governance & Compliance
- Enforce architectural principles and rules
- Participate in architecture committees
- Ensure compliance before and after production deployment
📦 Domain Coverage
- Support Functions: Legal, Compliance, Risk, HR, Procurement, Communication
- Finance (ALM-T Finance)
- Marketing & Communication domains
☁️ Technology & Integration
- Software architecture, infrastructure, middleware & cloud considerations
- Integration of package solutions and internal development
- Continuous alignment with technology evolutions
🤝 Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with project teams, enterprise architects and business stakeholders
- Communicate target architecture, standards and best practices
- Support decision-making in architectural governance forums
⭐ MUST HAVE
- Min. 5 years of experience in functional / technical / application architecture
- Strong experience in architectural modelling and solution design
- Knowledge of application architecture and urbanization principles
- Experience with Agile (Scrum) environments
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in complex enterprise environments
✨ NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with ArchiMate or enterprise modelling languages
- Background in Support Functions (Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance)
- Experience in ALM-T Finance environments
- Knowledge of enterprise application landscapes in banking
- Experience in large-scale transformation programs
