Requirements
5–8+ years of overall IT experience
3+ years of hands-on experience as a MECOMS Technical Consultant
MECOMS Technical Consultant with strong hands‑on expertise to support implementations, integrations, and system enhancements within the utilities domain.
Close collaboration with functional consultants, architects, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable, high‑performance, and compliant solutions.
Experience in large‑scale utility transformation or CIS programs
Exposure to Agile or hybrid delivery models
Understanding of utilities business processes, including: Billing and invoicing, Metering and consumption, Customer lifecycle and payments
Experience in electricity or gas utilities preferred
Familiarity with regulated environments (EU utilities is a plus)
Act as a technical SME for the MECOMS platform
Design and develop custom extensions, interfaces, reports, and enhancements
Translate functional specifications into technical designs
Ensure alignment with architecture, performance, and security standards
Develop and support integrations with external systems such as: SAP (IS-U / S/4HANA) or other ERP platforms, CRM systems, Meter Data Management (MDM) systems, Middleware/ESB tools
Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities
Troubleshoot and resolve integration and data‑related issues
Support end‑to‑end MECOMS implementations, upgrades, and rollouts
Collaborate with functional teams to ensure accurate technical delivery
Participate in design reviews, solution walkthroughs, and governance forums
Provide technical support during SIT, UAT, go‑live, and hyper‑care phases
Develop and execute unit tests and support system/integration testing
Perform root cause analysis and defect resolution
Ensure adherence to code quality, performance, and documentation standards
Support MECOMS environments across development, testing, and production
Assist in release management, deployments, and version upgrades
Contribute to system performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration
Ability to work in complex, high‑volume utility environments
Focus on delivering scalable, secure, and high‑quality technical solutions
