Freelance Azure Engineer - Cloud Migration - Greenfield - Dutch Speaking

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to support a large-scale cloud migration and digital transformation programme involving the integration of multiple business units and cloud environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising Azure infrastructure while ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient cloud services throughout the merger journey.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage Azure cloud infrastructure across complex enterprise environments.
• Support the migration and consolidation of legacy and existing cloud platforms into a unified Azure estate.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Configure and support Azure networking, connectivity, and security services.
• Collaborate with architects, security teams, and application owners during cloud integration activities.
• Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Experience

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure services.
• Experience supporting large-scale cloud migrations, mergers, acquisitions, or transformation programmes.
• Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Azure Storage.
• Azure Entra ID (Azure AD) and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and best practices.
