We are looking for a talented and motivated Biomanufacturing Process Manager – Upstream / Downstream (Week-End) to join our Belgium Biomanufacturing Operations Center in Braine-L’Alleud, Belgium.

About the Role

As a Biomanufacturing Process Manager, you will ensure efficient and compliant execution of Upstream / Downstream production activities within the building, meeting operational goals while upholding GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HSE policies (Health, Safety, Environment), and cost and timeline targets. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and inclusiveness, support team development, and collaborate with support departments to maintain equipment and resolve issues. Your responsibilities include overseeing documentation, managing deviations and CAPAs, participating in audits and inspections, and driving updates to procedures and processes. You will also lead investigations, ensure environmental safety compliance, and take immediate corrective actions when needed to maintain product quality and product continuity.

What You'll Do

  • Guide and assist Team Leaders and their teams by fostering a collaborative environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Address people-related matters within the teams and oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of new colleagues
  • Ensure training plans are relevant, regularly updated, and followed, while also supporting the development of team versatility
  • Set annual goals and conduct progress reviews, reporting to your line manager any concerns raised by team members or events that may affect production
  • Coordinate team leave and overtime in alignment with resources
  • Promote effective communication within the team and encourage synergy across groups
  • Ensure strong collaboration between production and cross-functional teams such as Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Technical Services and HR

Interested? For this role, we're looking for the following education, experience, and skills :

  • Master's degree (scientific, technical, management)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in biotech manufacturing or engineering management position and 3 years’ experience in production management
  • Proven involvement in a similar large scale construction project
  • Strong knowledge in Good Manufacturing Practices
  • High leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment and to handle challenging situations
  • Ready to travel a limited period
  • Fluent in French and English
