We are looking for a seasoned Enterprise IT Architect to join a long-term mission within a large, structured IT organization.

You will be responsible for translating strategic objectives into concrete architectural models, standards, and implementation paths ensuring all digital initiatives align with enterprise-wide goals.

You play a critical role in architectural governance, solution alignment, and roadmap development. You support agile teams, help define architectural guardrails, and provide technical input for business cases and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Architecture

  • Refine and evangelize the Enterprise Architecture vision
  • Translate business strategy into actionable architecture principles and patterns
  • Define architectural roadmaps and guide programs through trade-off analyses
  • Provide support for digital product lifecycle management and technical decisions
  • Work closely with solution architects and coach them in best practices

Governance & Planning

  • Participate in Architecture Review Boards , portfolio planning, and IT governance bodies
  • Review and shape enabler epics, architectural options, and investment cases
  • Ensure architectural alignment across teams and projects
  • Communicate complex IT architecture clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Track and measure architectural effectiveness

  • Enterprise and solution-level architecture models
  • Target state roadmaps and phased implementation plans
  • Architectural guardrails, standards, and reusable building blocks
  • Business cases and risk / value-based trade-off recommendations
  • A continuously updated technology radar for emerging innovations

    • Your Profile

    Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Enterprise IT Architect (mandatory)
  • Hands-on experience with TOGAF methodology and frameworks (required)
  • Strong background in agile architecture, digital transformation, and IT governance
  • Proven experience coaching solution architects and leading cross-team initiatives
  • Strong visual communication and architectural storytelling skills
  • Skilled in trade-off analysis, value management, and business case structuring
  • Strategic thinker with deep understanding of system-wide impacts
  • Able to adapt architectural decisions to organizational context and maturity
  • Stakeholder alignment across business, IT, and management layers
  • Familiarity with lean-agile frameworks and product-centric delivery
  • Excellent written and spoken proficiency in Dutch , French , and English
  • 40% in the office + 60% homeworking
