As an Embedded Software Engineer your mission is to dive deep into the world of embedded systems and contribute to the development of smart, innovative solutions in a high-tech environment. Your responsibilities include :
- Drafting and reviewing technical specifications for embedded applications.
- Programming microcontrollers in C, ideally within real-time operating systems such as Zephyr.
- Testing, debugging, and documenting embedded designs according to quality standards.
- Developing and validating functional prototypes in close collaboration with hardware and product development teams.
- Assisting in the transition from prototype to production, including support for the first production runs.
- Performing maintenance and continuous improvement on existing embedded solutions.
- Optimizing existing production processes through software adaptations or automation.
We expect you to ...
Hold a Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Civil), preferably in Computer Science or Electronics-ICT — or equivalent through experience.Have strong knowledge of C and / or C++, applied in an embedded context, preferably on microcontrollers.Have experience with real-time operating systems such as Zephyr, or you're eager to learn.Understand low-level programming, hardware interfaces, and embedded communication protocols.Have experience writing and reviewing technical specifications and documenting your work clearly.Having experience with audio and video processing is a plus.Be familiar with various operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.), although your primary focus is embedded systems.Be solution-oriented, innovative, and always keep the end-user in mind.Work independently, precisely, and with a keen eye on deadlines.Be fluent in either Dutch or English.What's in it for you ...
