As an Embedded Software Engineer your mission is to dive deep into the world of embedded systems and contribute to the development of smart, innovative solutions in a high-tech environment. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you won’t just be writing software, you’ll be developing the very foundation our products rely on.

By collaborating closely with colleagues from R&D, production, and hardware development, you’ll see the direct impact of your work, from the first lines of code to the final product in the hands of the customer.

Your responsibilities include :

Drafting and reviewing technical specifications for embedded applications.
Programming microcontrollers in C, ideally within real-time operating systems such as Zephyr.
Testing, debugging, and documenting embedded designs according to quality standards.
Developing and validating functional prototypes in close collaboration with hardware and product development teams.
Assisting in the transition from prototype to production, including support for the first production runs.
Performing maintenance and continuous improvement on existing embedded solutions.
Optimizing existing production processes through software adaptations or automation.

We expect you to ...

Hold a Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Civil), preferably in Computer Science or Electronics-ICT — or equivalent through experience.

Have strong knowledge of C and / or C++, applied in an embedded context, preferably on microcontrollers.

Have experience with real-time operating systems such as Zephyr, or you're eager to learn.

Understand low-level programming, hardware interfaces, and embedded communication protocols.

Have experience writing and reviewing technical specifications and documenting your work clearly.

Having experience with audio and video processing is a plus.

Be familiar with various operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.), although your primary focus is embedded systems.

Be solution-oriented, innovative, and always keep the end-user in mind.

Work independently, precisely, and with a keen eye on deadlines.

Be fluent in either Dutch or English.
