Description de posteLAN / WAN and enterprise networks Transmission and telecom technologies : SDH, DWDM, IP / MPLS, VoIP Network monitoring and management systems Ticketing, documentation, and SLA / KPI tools Practical operational knowledge of modern networks : LAN / WAN, SDH, DWDM, IP / MPLS, VoIP Experience in a NOC, helpdesk, or network operations role is a strong asset. Fluent in Dutch or French, with good knowledge of the other language. Good working knowledge of English (mandatory). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently, methodically, and under pressure. Strong sense of responsibility, urgency, and service mindset. Flexible and stress-resistant in a 24 / 7 operational context.
Mission
As a Data Transmission Network Engineer, you will ensure the continuous and reliable operation of communication platforms by monitoring networks, resolving incidents, coordinating maintenance, and supporting internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure the correct functioning of all Datacom platforms (LAN / WAN, telecom and transmission systems).
- Detect, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents and problems.
- Escalate complex issues to network architects, product owners, or external partners when needed.
- Coordinate and follow up on planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Communicate with stakeholders during incidents, changes, and planned works.
- Provide operational support to other teams and external parties.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational records.
- Execute administrative and quality-related tasks for Datacom platforms.
- Actively contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
