About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Freelance Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to support ongoing industrial projects in Antwerp. You will be working closely with multidisciplinary teams on the design, implementation, and commissioning of E&I systems across brownfield sites.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and review E&I designs, drawings, and documentation (layouts, loop diagrams, schematics, etc.)
Supervise or support installation, testing, and commissioning of E&I systems.
Collaborate with project managers, automation specialists, and process engineers.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and ATEX standards.
Provide technical input and design review sessions.

Requirements

Proven experience as an E&I Engineer in industrial environments (e.g., petrochemical, chemical, energy).

Strong knowledge of IEC standards and ATEX.

Proficient with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar.

Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus.

Freelance status with valid right to work in Belgium.

Immediate availability preferred.
