The Role :
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth within industrial pharmaceutical markets , with a particular focus on emerging markets in Africa .
This role suits a sales-driven, technically minded professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships and positioning complex, quality-critical products. You will manage key accounts while actively developing new business opportunities in expanding international markets.
The position is fully remote and offers exposure to global customers and high-growth regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across industrial pharmaceutical customers
- Manage and grow existing key accounts , ensuring long-term partnerships
- Identify and develop opportunities in emerging markets , particularly Africa
- Present and sell technical, quality-driven products in a persuasive and consultative manner
- Work closely with internal Quality, Technical, and Operations teams to support customers
- Maintain a strong understanding of product quality, compliance, and customer requirements
- Prepare commercial proposals, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems , Business, or a related fieldExperience within industrial pharmaceutical environmentsMinimum 2 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account managementStrong persuasion and negotiation skills , with confidence selling technical productsCommercially driven mindset with interest in international and emerging marketsUnderstanding of quality and regulated industry standardsSelf-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environmentFluent in English ; additional languages are an advantage
