Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Position Overview

Due to our continuous growth, we are currently looking for a Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support industrial project reviews, with a primary focus on the procurement and execution phases of new system or equipment deployments. The successful candidate will act as the security voice in cross-functional project reviews, ensuring cybersecurity best practices and internal policies are upheld. This is a hands-on SME role with strong stakeholder-facing and coordination responsibilities.

Location : Brussels, Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the security review of new projects during weekly stakeholder meetings (involving SMEs from networking, validation, data center, etc.).
• Prepare for project reviews by gathering information from system and project owners early in the week.
• Assess new system proposals for IT security compliance, and raise red flags or guide mitigations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with over 60 internal stakeholders.
• Track and follow up on security deliverables, and escalate risks where needed.
• Contribute to internal improvement initiatives, such as lessons learned, best practices, and documentation.
