On behalf of our customer APEO in Belgium we are looking for a :

Development and Experimentation Coordinator

APEO srl is a spin-off of Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, University of Liège, specializing in the development and commercialization of plant protection products based on essential oils. The aim of APEO is to find, develop, register and commercialize or license, via partners, effective natural & patented formulated biological herbicides based on essential oils that are safe for Humans and Environment.

As part of its herbicide research projects, APEO is looking for a Development and Experimentation Coordinator to join its team. AFL Executive Search will assist APEO in this search, the goal being that the recruited person enters the company as soon as possible.

Reporting directly to the Co-founder & Technical Director, some of your main responsibilities will be :

• To develop and coordinate field trial plans for prototype formulations from R&D, to link greenhouse and field trials, and to support R&D formulation plans in an international environment (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, UK, etc.).
• To manage contacts with partners for trials, equipment, and materials.
• To collaborate with research teams, the Scientific Director, and the business development team.
• To harmonize product development methodologies.
• To monitor deadlines, budgets, and the quality of deliverables.
• To participate in the development of new projects.

Education : Master’s degree in Bioengineering, Master’s in sciences (chemistry, biology, etc.) or industrial engineering.

Experience : Management of multi-year experimental plans (lab, greenhouse, field) and project management.

Skills : Good balance between Technical & Marketing skills (understanding of end-user needs / end-user mindset) - Project management - Team coordination.

Languages : English is a must, French a big plus, any other language (German, Dutch, etc.) is a plus.
