For an interim management assignment in Brussels , we are looking for an experienced IT Resilience Manager .
Key Responsibilities
As Major Incident Coordinator
- Manage and coordinate critical IT incidents (approx. 10 per year) affecting essential business services.
- Trigger and manage the Major Incident process upon detection :
- Assemble a task force with the necessary resources for investigation and troubleshooting.
- Lead the task force until full resolution.
- Communicate promptly and clearly with users and stakeholders via predefined channels.
- Organize necessary changes (change management, CAB validation, deployment).
- Document the incident in the ITSM tool, lead post-incident analysis, and ensure follow-up.
- Oversee resolution of underlying structural issues.
As Problem Manager
Evaluate, refine, and manage the problem management process based on MSF–ITIL 4 guidelines.Ensure consistent application of the process across the IT organization.Track process performance using KPIs and SLAs.Collaborate with process owners, team leads, and technical teams to ensure alignment.Promote awareness and training around problem management.Support audits and safeguard governance and compliance.Keep documentation, governance models, and workflows up to date.Foster continuous improvement in problem management.Contribute to improvements in other ITIL 4 processes (incident management, change management, etc.).As DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan) Manager
Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans for IT systems and data.Conduct risk analyses and identify threats.Ensure regular backups of critical applications and data.Collaborate with departments to maintain business continuity in the event of a disaster.Define emergency procedures and communication structures.Periodically test the DRP to ensure effectiveness.Train staff on disaster procedures and responsibilities.Stay up to date with developments in DRP technologies and best practices.Manage relationships with external DR service providers.Report to management on DRP readiness.Required Experience & Competencies
Education & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's in IT or a related field.Proven experience in IT operations with a focus on incident and resilience management.Training in risk analysis, crisis situations, and emergency planning.Technical Skills
5–10 years of experience in a technical and complex IT environment.Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, security protocols, backup and recovery.Understanding of the link between business applications and IT infrastructure.Experience with ITIL processes ( certification in ITIL v3 / v4 preferred , MSF certification is a plus).Familiarity with ITSM tools such as Omnitracker, ServiceNow, Remedy .Ability to identify vulnerabilities and manage risks.Experience as an Incident Manager is a plus.Apply here or send your applications to : nouhayla@synctiv.be
