Senior Accountant (F/M) - BE870438

Our client, an active player in the pharmaceutical industry, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records by preparing and reviewing accounting transactions
• Record financial data in line with BEGAAP standards
• Reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts; resolve discrepancies promptly
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, P&L)
• Support audits by providing necessary reports and documentation
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory reporting (e.g., VAT, Intrastat)
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Help improve and maintain the ERP system
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all financial data

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 to 10 years' experience in accounting
• Strong knowledge of BEGAAP, IFRS, and general accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills
• Background in financial consolidation and intercompany reporting is a plus
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently
• Excellent communication skills across teams and regions
• Fluent in English, with knowledge of French and/or Dutch
