DESCRIPTION OF TASKS AND THE SCOPE OF COMPETITION
The external service provider will engage in several key activities to support the Directorate's digital transformation initiatives. Tasks include meticulous review and commentary on policy design documents, such as calls for evidence, terms of reference, draft impact assessments, and consultancy to DGs and ensuring their alignment with digital-ready standards. The role also involves active participation in trainings and supporting material to quick uptake of forthcoming policy proposals. The provider will offer strategic advice on specific initiatives and contribute to optimizing regulatory reporting processes, emphasizing semantic coherence. Additionally, the service provider will play a crucial role in implementing the AI Governance at the commission, collaborating closely with DGs to ensure effective execution. Consistent and detailed reporting to the project office will be a fundamental aspect of this engagement, supporting transparency and progress tracking.

- Technical understanding of AI and of AI governance.
- Strong technical comprehension of AI systems and the regulatory implications for compliance.
- Proven ability to facilitate multi-stakeholder meetings with diverse technical and policy stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex AI and policy concepts to technical and non technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, managing diverse regulatory compliance projects and providing regular status updates.
- Ability to engage in technical discussions with AI experts and efficiently translate technical details into actionable compliance insights.

Experience in using industry-standard tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).At least one year of proven experience in regulatory complianceExpertise in regulatory reporting frameworks and their implementation.Experience in conducting stakeholder consultations and facilitating dialogue between technical and policy experts.Experience in working with AI and other emerging technologies.Experience with data governance and management in regulatory settings would be desirable.
