Senior Manager, Employee Benefits Business Development
Visa Commercial Solutions is transforming how businesses manage payments, working capital, and employee engagement. Our platforms enable seamless B2B transactions, expense management, and benefits delivery across diverse verticals including fleet, travel, and employee benefits. As Senior Manager for Employee Benefits, you will manage business development efforts across Europe, focusing on strategic partnerships with benefit providers and HR platforms. You will partner with the Employee Benefits European lead to capture insights around the evolving benefits landscape, develop tailored commercial propositions, and support the launch of card‑based products that help save, spend, and borrow.
What we expect you to do, day to day
- Partner Identification & Engagement : Proactively source and evaluate potential partners—benefit platforms, HR tech providers, fintech players—based on strategic fit, scalability, and innovation potential. Lead outreach, pitch development, and relationship nurturing.
- Commercial Structuring : Partner closely with VCS sales teams to develop and negotiate partnership frameworks, including commercial terms, go‑to‑market models, and integration roadmaps. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure alignment with Visa’s strategic and compliance standards.
- Pipeline Management : Build and maintain a robust pipeline of benefit‑related opportunities in partnership with the employee benefits European lead. Track progress through CRM tools, prepare regular updates for leadership, and ensure timely advancement through the deal lifecycle.
- Client Co‑Creation : Work with strategic clients to qualify client requirements / benefit propositions that meet their workforce needs. Facilitate workshops, gather feedback, and iterate on product concepts in collaboration with Visa’s product teams.
- Internal Advocacy : Act as the voice of the client within Visa Commercial Solutions. Educate internal stakeholders on market dynamics, partnership potential, and strategic priorities through presentations, briefings, and cross‑functional forums.
- Deliver on the promise : Take clients through the deal lifecycle from solution workshops, to deal evaluation, contracting and launch before passing over to account teams.
- Performance Optimization : Define KPIs for benefit partnerships and monitor performance post‑launch. Use data insights to refine strategy, improve partner engagement, and drive adoption across target segments.
- Product Innovation : Collaborate with internal product teams to develop flexible, digital‑first benefits solutions that go beyond traditional card‑based offerings.
Qualifications
Experience
Senior level B2B sales experience, particularly in digital product or solutionsExperience selling employee benefits, HR tech, or commercial payments.Experience working with fintechs, ISVs, or embedded finance platforms is a plus.Knowledge Focus Areas
Deep knowledge of the various sales cycles and stagesStrong understanding of the European benefits landscape and regulatory environment.Skills / Competencies
The successful candidate will effectively lead new customer acquisition activities and manage them throughout the entire sales cycle, collaborating across Visa functions to build a Visa network, solve complex problems, and serve as the face of Visa to external partners.The ideal candidate will bring passion for and interest in Payments, Fintech, employee benefits, HR tech, or commercial payments, with client‑relationship building skills, presence, and knowledge of industry strategies and priorities. This candidate is proactive, resilient, and able to execute on ambitious goals / quotas.This position is hybrid; number of in‑office days will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
