Knowledge of French is an advantage.You are willing to carry out similar assignments at other campuses of the faculty, especially at Campus De Nayer.You will organise seminars on professional skills and coordinate the assistants and doctoral students who, together with you, will be responsible for supervising first-year and senior students during assignments following these seminars.You will help develop innovative teaching methods, working closely with the teaching teams on professional competencies and study career guidance.You will coach both first-year and senior engineering technology students as they develop their professional skills.You will be part of the team of monitors, mentors and exam ombudsmen, guiding students both individually and in groups in terms of subject matter and study skills.You take the initiative to design and further develop the seminars and coaching sessions on professional skills in line with the vision of KU Leuven, the faculty, the campus and the teaching team.You contribute to initiatives related to the recruitment and welcoming of new students, such as information days, open days, orientation days, etc.The Faculty of Engineering Technology (KU Leuven) organises engineering technology programmes (chemistry, electromechanics and electronics-ICT) at Campus Group T. Future engineers receive a strong scientific and technological education during the programme, but also immediately make the link with application and practice. To do so, they also need professional skills such as communication, project management and team dynamics. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated colleague to strengthen these professional skills in students and to coach them in carrying out project work and learning in general. In order to provide our first-year students with optimal guidance during the important transition phase from secondary education to higher education, you will need not only didactic qualities, but also coaching skills. In addition, you should also have good communication skills and be an experienced expert in project management and team dynamics so that you can guide our students throughout the entire programme during seminars and project-based learning. You will play an important role in coordinating the team of assistants and doctoral students who take on teaching assignments in these areas. You will help develop innovative teaching methods, working closely with the teaching teams on professional competencies and study career guidance.We aim at a full-time employment for an indefinite period.If you are immediately available for all assignments in this position, you will start in grade 8. Promising candidates who cannot yet take up all assignments immediately or who still have to go through a specific training program start in grade 7. Grade 9 is exceptionally reserved for candidates who already can take on extra responsibilities because of extensive knowledge and experience.
