We are Fiberklaar, the most ambitious fiber network company in Flanders. Our fiber infrastructure is open to all internet providers and forms the digital infrastructure of our new generation internet. Thanks to ultra-fast, super-stable streaming, gaming, uploading, surfing, and calling. With substantial investments, we aim to provide as many Flemish households as possible with fiber connections. With more people in Flanders choosing Fiberklaar, we are ushering in a new internet era.

As a GIS Engineer, you are part of the Business Analysis & Planning team, which is part of the Strategy Portfolio. This team ensures the mapping and monitoring of our rollout and project portfolio. You analyze data, contribute to the interpretation of the coverage area, location data, rollout forecasting, and network design. You combine data, translate it into visuals and dashboards in Power BI, and provide GIS support in data analysis and decision-making processes.

Your responsibilities :

• You are actively involved in the preparation of our fiber rollout projects in Flanders. You process coverage maps and convert input from field engineers into usable GIS files.
• You analyze large datasets and make them usable for rollout, planning, and executive teams.
• You interpret data, create dashboards and reports, and communicate your insights clearly to colleagues and external stakeholders.
• You automate, optimize, and maintain GIS datasets and tools.
• You are the GIS expert in the team, proactively looking for solutions to spatial problems.
• In this role, you work closely with analysts, planners, other GIS engineers, and field colleagues. You also collaborate with external partners to optimize the quality of spatial data.
• You use tools like Confluence for documentation and collaboration, and for architecture modeling, you use Archi.
