This role owns the execution of the EMEA poultry marketing strategy to increase Novus market penetration through core solutions to meet Novus’ financial goals. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with the sales and technical service organization to ensure that commercial teams remain focused on the strategic priorities to reach financial objectives. The role is expected to think critically about the poultry business in EMEA and position Novus solutions and expertise in the market creating a roadmap for success. Under general supervision from line manager, operates with autonomy and latitude in decision making and has full accountability and initiative for the role.

General Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the EMEA Poultry marketing plan. Capture key insights, initiatives, key segment pursuits and drive the solutions approach consistent with corporate strategy.
  • Execute the marketing & strategy plan in collaboration with the commercial organization to meet Novus’ AOP.
  • Carry on Cross-functional collaboration with regional technical and sales teams to have a better understanding of the customer’s needs and bring the proper solution to the appropriate customer / segment. Define the strategy for selected customers to get the yearly stablished objectives.
  • Ensure consistency and coherence in our approach to customers and industry on the poultry solutions and represent Novus’ voice
  • Identify new business opportunities (e.g. new strategies, new geographies) as part of the continual re-evaluation of business plans.
  • Build a network and stay tuned with key stakeholders in EMEA poultry sector and re-evaluate and update the poultry strategies according to market changes or new trends and needs.
  • Provide guidance and direction for poultry marketing collateral.
  • Work along with R&D and Innovation to fill in the gaps on the current solutions, build storylines for Novus’ poultry key initiatives, and identify opportunities to develop complementary programs / solutions and services.
  • Along with Marketing Intelligence analyze and track competitor’s messages, market penetration, value propositions, and segments as well as the industry trends.
  • Lead Product Country Launches (PCL) for poultry applications working cross-functionally with Technical Service, Specialty Category ManagementMarketing Communications and other support functions defining valid product positioning and value proposition, providing marketing messaging and marketing materials as well as training of the commercial teams.
  • Build along with the MarComm team the strategic communication plan to increase awareness on Novus’ poultry solutions and expertise, including digital communications, customer face-to-face activities as well as industry congresses participation for key countries.

Key Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Advanced degree or comparable training in animal health & nutrition
  • 10+ years of marketing experience in the animal nutrition and / or health industry.
  • 5+ years of experience over multi-national business activities in EMEA.
  • Proven analytical skills and knowledge how to build strategic business plans.
  • Proven leadership skills and business experience.
  • Proven experience and recognized track record in the feed additives market; a solid animal nutrition (and / or health) business knowledge being required.
  • Strong network with industry stakeholders in different segments of the poultry industry.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Fluent in Polish, Spanish, French or German will be welcome.
  • Other Special Requirements

  • Up to 30% of travelling
  • Candidates residing in France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Poland and Spain will be considered
