Role1 : Founding Engineer – YC-Backed AI Startup

Location : Leuven / Brussels, Belgium

  • Type : Full-Time
  • Experience : 3-7 years
  • Salary : $80K–$120K + Equity

Tech Stack : TypeScript + Node JS.

Job Description : What You’ll Own

You’ll take high ownership of our backend systems from infrastructure and APIs to ML-driven tools that enhance recruiter workflows. You’ll ship fast, scale with confidence, and help shape the technical culture alongside the founders.

Our Stack

  • TypeScript
  • Node.js (No Supabase)
  • PostgreSQL
  • AI / ML Tooling (OpenAI APIs, vector DBs, etc.)

    • What We’re Looking For

  • 3–7 years of backend engineering experience
  • Fluent in TypeScript + Node.js (or strong adjacent stack)
  • Exposure to AI integrations or dev tooling is a big plus
  • Startups or fast-paced environments preferred
  • You’re a builder — hands-on, scrappy, reliable
  • English proficiency is enough (Dutch not required)
