Our client is looking for a strong Automation Engineer with maintenance experience to join their Manufacturing Team.

Employment can be in Evergem or Ghent. As an Automation & Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for improving the efficiency and reliability of their fully automated production line through effective maintenance strategies, rapid troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will be a key player in ensuring high product quality, optimizing maintenance costs and contributing to overall safety and environmental standards.

More Specifically :

• You will be responsible for improving the reliability and uptime of a fully automated production line.
• This includes defining and implementing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
• You will ensure routine maintenance is performed promptly and respond swiftly to equipment failures.
• Working with automation equipment such as PLCs, HMIs, robots, and drives, you will identify spare parts requirements and oversee their procurement.
• Your duties in this automated production environment involve analyzing problems and devising solutions.
• You will collaborate closely with technicians, providing necessary training to enhance their proficiency.
• Additionally, you will oversee and monitor maintenance costs, prioritize both scheduled and unscheduled repairs, and support initiatives to improve health, safety, and environmental protocols.
• Participation in continuous improvement activities will also be integral to your role.
