What you will do

As a business developer for IC-Link, you will drive business for customized solutions for innovative chip manufacturing. In this role specifically, you will address technologies that were developed in imec R&D and are ready for technology transfer to commercial foundries and production. You will work with companies that have specific technology and wafer service needs (including interposer wafer or die-to-wafer bonding wafer services) or packaging needs, to drive their products forward towards better performance, more integration, less energy consumption and lower cost.

As a Senior Business Development Manager, your main tasks will be :

• Based on your good knowledge of the semiconductor system companies and chip or module design companies, you will build, grow and manage a portfolio of customers for integrated photonics wafer services, interposer production, heterogenous integration and a range of other imec services (volume of imagers and detectors, lithography wafer services .
• You will coordinate business interactions, generate leads, and discover new business opportunities for imec’s integrated photonics wafer services.
• You will closely work with the technical teams for the business aspects of the collaborations.
• In all cases you will develop the optimal business model together with our intellectual property and legal teams, and together with our technical and portfolio teams you will shape the offering.
• You will lead business negotiations (discuss intellectual property model and pricing) in cooperation with our regional partnership managers and you agree and finalize contracts with customers.
• You stay in contact with the customer, you monitor customer satisfaction, and you clearly communicate current and future customer needs to internal stakeholders at imec.
• You represent imec at external trade shows and exhibitions (mostly EU and US).
• You report to the Business Line Director for this business sector.
