Paperbox is a market leader in delivering AI Agents for claims & policy admin, serving insurers and brokers.

Do you know the feeling of having to wait forever for your insurer to answer your email? That is what we are solving!

Insurance historically is a manual labor-intensive, admin-heavy industry. A lot of manual labour goes into reading incoming requests, processing emails and attachments from central mailboxes, forwarding to colleagues, scheduling and prioritizing tasks and archiving information into insurance back-office systems.

Our AI Agent Clara reduces friction and brings structure to the biggest bottleneck of insurance operations : the Mailroom.

Role

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Paperbox.ai, you’ll be on the front line of our growth engine. Your mission? Generate pipeline by identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers across Europe.

You’ll research accounts, reach out to decision-makers, and book discovery meetings for our Account Executives. You’ll be the first touchpoint prospects have with Paperbox — making your role key in building our brand reputation.

This is a full-time role with flexibility for remote work and occasional travel for events. The role is international, but fluency in Dutch or English is required, and French is a strong plus .

The right time and place

The last years we have been bootstrapping and building the foundations of our GTM machine. With over 40 customers in insurance, we have nailed down our ICP and value proposition.

We are now scaling our outbound engine and building repeatable processes to support our expansion into new markets. As BDR / SDR, you’ll play a critical role in fueling this growth by ensuring our pipeline is full of high-quality opportunities.

Your responsibilities

Pipeline Generation

Identify and research potential accounts in our target markets

Build and maintain a strong top-of-funnel through outbound prospecting (email, phone, LinkedIn)

Qualify inbound leads and nurture them into sales-ready opportunities

Book discovery meetings for Account Executives

Outreach & Engagement

Personalize outreach using content-driven narratives and value-based messaging

Understand prospects’ pain points and connect them to Paperbox’s value proposition

Manage multiple touchpoints across channels to maximize conversion rates

Collaboration & Growth

Work closely with Account Executives to prioritize target accounts and territories

Provide market insights from conversations to Marketing and Product

Represent Paperbox at industry events and support campaigns as needed

Continuously refine messaging and outreach strategies for better results

You are a great fit if you have

Commercial Drive

1-3 years of experience in sales development, business development, or similar role (B2B SaaS experience a plus)

Strong hunter mentality – you enjoy opening conversations and creating opportunities

Goal-oriented with a track record of hitting or exceeding meeting / lead quotas

Skills & Attitude

Excellent communication skills in Dutch and / or English (French is a big plus )

Ability to write compelling outreach messages and adapt tone to the audience

Comfort with CRM tools (HubSpot experience a plus) and sales engagement platforms

Curiosity and resilience – you love learning from conversations and don’t give up easily

Mindset

Entrepreneurial spirit : proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn

Strong collaboration skills : you thrive in a team setting and celebrate wins together

Willingness to occasionally travel for events or team gatherings
