Flexible regarding working hours and travel within Belgium. Strong knowledge of Linux (Red Hat) systems and scripting (bash or similar). Solid experience with VMware including vSphere vCenter and vMotion. Basic understanding of network administration (routers switches VPN firewalls). Fluency in Dutch and French (spoken and written). Experience in high-availability production environments . Experience with Veeam (setup configuration administration). Puppet (Open Source) administration. Monitoring tools : Nagios Zabbix. Openshift and Elastic Stack (including Kibana) . Database knowledge : MySQL PostgreSQL. Atlassian Suite (Jira Confluence Git). GIT version control. Familiarity with Stratus and Fujitsu hardware .

About the Role
We are looking for a System Engineer to join a Sysadmins team responsible for ensuring that tailor-made infrastructure solutions for clients in the railway and mobility sector operate smoothly. Youll work across a variety of technologies on-premise hybrid and cloud all requiring high levels of availability continuity and security .
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain install and configure both hardware and software components.
- Participate in migration projects testing debugging and deploying updates or patches.
- Ensure infrastructure and data security while maintaining system stability.
- Monitor and resolve incidents failures and changes to keep environments operational.
- Provide second-line support including participation in an on-call rotation .
- Research and implement new technologies and tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to testing documentation and implementation processes.
- Perform on-site interventions at customer locations (31 sites across Belgium).
