Director of Sales and Business Development

Airbotics Talent are working with a Drone scaleup in the inspection, surveying, mapping and aerial data market. They are now looking to recruit a Sales Director to manage their EU and MEA customer base both with direct sales and channel / distribution partner development.

Candidates can be based anywhere in the EU, UK or Ireland, with a preference to those based in Southern EU regions.

The Role

This role is central to our client's ongoing global sales strategy, with Europe and MEA core to their business. They have seen continued customer demand, with this role key to delivering support to existing customers and scaling into new ones. You will be responsible for delivering sales, as well as building the commercial strategy and managing a small team.

This role is well suited to either someone looking to step up in to a leadership role for the first time or someone with prior management and mentoring experience.

The Person

It is essential candidates have :

Experience selling drones / robots specifically for data collection, inspection or surveying and mapping purposes or Geospatial product sales.

Unfortunately candidates without the above cannot be considered for this role.

The ideal candidate will also have :

A minimum of 5 years experience in a high impact Sales or Business Development role

Capable of both "hunter" and "farmer" activity

A track record of increasing sales through new customer acquisition and building successful channel and distribution partner networks

Flexibility to travel to customer locations across Europe, the Middle East or Africa

Must speak fluent English plus another language is preferred but not essential. Ideally this would be German, Spanish, Italian or French
