What can you expect as a Junior Consultant in Regulatory?

Got a law degree and itching to break out of the traditional law firm mold? Well, guess what? We're on the lookout for fresh talent to join our team at KPMG's Regulatory Compliance & Transformation Practice. Trust us; it's not your typical law job.

What's the deal? We're amongst the top Regulatory players in Belgium, and we want you on board to see it happen 🤩 Forget the mundane legal grind; we're all about practical implementation. We start with the legal analysis, but it is not the end goal; it is rather the starting point of our services.

We provide technical regulatory compliance solutions to help financial institutions (think banks, insurance companies, asset managers, payment institutions, …) to anticipate and manage their regulatory risk. Our team helps clients meet regulatory expectations and obligations by implementing effective and efficient governance and risk management frameworks, enhancing their internal controls, and helping create a culture of risk management and compliance.

No boring desk work here – we're in the trenches with our clients, making things happen.

One of the best parts of the job? You will work in multidisciplinary teams with colleagues from other service lines - such as Financial Risk Managers, Data Scientists, Smart Automation and Process specialists - or with RegTech firms with whom we have established strategic partnerships.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it 😎 : Although we are never sure what the next project will be, your first job probably involves diving into the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) topic. Think of yourself as the superhero "gatekeeper" for preventing shady money moves in banks. You might also participate in projects where we asses a client’s processes to see whether these are in line with applicable legislation.

• Got a Law Master’s degree or about to obtain one? Check!
• Fancy Economic or Financial Law? AML or KYC knowledge? Bonus points!
• Interested in the financial sector? We're into it too.
• Team player? Absolutely. But we also love someone who can rock the solo game.
• Tech-savvy? Again, bonus points!
• Problem-solving whiz? Excellent!
• Speak Dutch like a pro, and have a good knowledge of French & English? Awesome!
• First job under your belt? Cool, but if not, we'll get you up to speed.
