Senior Data Engineer – Analyst Programmer / Data Modler

Location : Antwerp, min. 2 days on-site

End date : 1year contract with possibility of extension

Language Requirement : Dutch

We are seeking two Senior Data Engineers with expertise in data modeling and analysis to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing data solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability in a data warehouse (DWH) environment .

Key Responsibilities :

• Solution Design & Analysis : Develop solutions based on in-depth analysis of business and technical requirements.
• Data Modeling : Build logical and physical data models to support the proposed solutions.
• Impact & Technical Analysis : Conduct impact assessments and draft technical analyses for coding implementation.
• Process Improvement : Identify and propose enhancements, particularly in the usage of ETL tools .
• Documentation & Knowledge Management : Maintain up-to-date documentation, track industry trends, and contribute to team development and professionalization.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

Experience : Minimum 5 years in a similar role.

Data Modeling : Strong expertise in Data Vault modeling , 3NF modeling , and dimensional modeling .

SQL : Proficiency in SQL for querying, transformation, and optimization.

Data Warehousing (DWH) : High seniority in DWH environments .

ETL Tools : Good knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and experience with ETL automation tools (a plus).

Version Control : Experience with Tortoise SVN and / or GIT .

Oracle Technologies : Familiarity with Oracle Exadata, Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Enterprise Metadata Management, or Oracle BI (OBI) .

Banking Industry Experience : Prior work experience in banking or financial services .

Language Requirement : Must be Dutch-speaking .

Preferred Qualifications :

Hands-on experience with ETL automation tools .

Knowledge of metadata management practices.
