Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Analyze, record, and report accounting transactions in a timely and accurate manner.

Prepare general ledger entries, reconciliations, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other key reports.

Provide detailed financial analysis, identifying and explaining unusual variances across accounts and statements.

Respond to inquiries from management, internal / external auditors, and Sarbanes-Oxley audit teams.

Review and strengthen internal controls, implementing new processes as needed.

Recommend and drive improvements to existing accounting procedures, ensuring best practices are adopted.

Safeguard the organization’s information by maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (college / university or equivalent).

Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or Chartered Accountant preferred.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Analytical mindset with the ability to identify anomalies and propose improvements.

Excellent communication and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and global environment.
