With the market further maturing, Hinicio is expanding its offices in Belgium. From the Belgian office, we serve clients all over the world, with a specific focus on clients and supply chains in Northwest Europe, Scandinavia, Asia and the Middle East.

We are looking for a consultant to further strengthen our ambitious and energetic teams in Brussels.

Your role as Consultant

You will be responsible for working on projects and providing advisory services on decarbonisation projects and solutions in various hard-to-abate sectors (aviation, maritime, steel, chemistry, fertilisers, heavy industry…). This includes conducting feasibility analyses, developing implementation strategies, conduct market studies, managing workstreams, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Your advisory projects will help our clients in identifying risks and opportunities and will play an important role in the expansion of the client’s portfolio and the development of new business lines within the sector, ultimately helping the energy transition forward.

1. Solution Design: Deepen the understanding of customer needs and design innovative methodologies and solutions that offer effective and tailored solutions.
2. Work alongside leading experts to conduct in-depth analyses and drive impactful insights.
3. Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong and lasting relationships with clients by thoroughly understanding their needs and ensuring that these are adequately addressed throughout the duration of the project
4. Knowledge Development: Develop a deep understanding of the market drivers and dynamics shaping the hydrogen and derivatives market
5. Proposal Development: Lead or contribute to the creation of proposals for new projects, including the definition of scope, budget and timing.
6. Knowledge Management: Lead and contribute to the development and sharing of expertise in specialized fields such as hydrogen and derivatives and industrial decarbonisation, fostering innovation and continuous team learning.
7. Mentorship: Provide mentorship and training to analysts during project delivery, strengthening capabilities and ensuring high-quality project execution.

Desired skills and experience

• A Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Economics, Business or other (energy) related
• 2-4 years managing project modules or projects and teams in market studies, business case definitions, or other strategic consulting topics.
• Previous experience in the sustainable energy and/or heavy industry sectors, ideally with a consulting firm.
• A track record of delivering complex international projects and innovative business solutions within tight deadlines.
• Strategic thinking for developing and implementing multidimensional frameworks and methodologies.
• Ability to engage with client managers and facilitate consensus-building.
• Motivation to collaborate with project leaders, internal teams, and external experts.
• Strong networking skills with a business-driven mindset.
• A reliable and empathetic leadership style, demonstrating creativity and resilience in problem-solving.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• English proficiency at professional (C2) level, with strong writing and pronunciation skills.
• Proficiency in an additional language such as Dutch, German, French or Spanish are a plus
