Senior Cost Manager (MEP)

Responsibilities

Analyse tenders and bids with a strong focus on mechanical, electrical, and process (MEP) packages to ensure best value outcomes for the client.

As Senior MEP Cost Manager , support the transparent settlement of construction disputes and loss / expense claims related to MEP installations.

Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members, fostering strong performance and growth within MEP cost management.

Assist in the preparation, negotiation, and agreement of final accounts, including the management of MEP-related claims and variations.

Develop detailed estimates and cost plans for key client developments, with a particular emphasis on MEP elements.

Provide clear cost documentation, reporting, and timely communication to support agile project management and effective decision-making.

Actively participate in the tender and bid process, from initial documentation through analysis, reporting, and recommendation.

Oversee project spend by preparing valuations and cost reports, clearly communicating cost movements and MEP scope changes to stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

Proven experience operating as a Senior MEP Cost Manager on large-scale, complex construction projects, ideally from a consultancy background.

Strong exposure to sectors such as Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, or heavy industrial developments.

Solid technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and / or process systems and installations.

Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.

Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Currently based in Belgium or open to relocating to the Farciennes area, with an existing legal right to work.
