The job location can be Leuven or Ghent.

Scope

The Business Development Manager actively reaches out to new leads, establishes long term relationships with existing customers, works closely together with our technical staff, aligns with suppliers, initiates marketing activities and contributes to business communication.

Responsibilities

Reach out to potential new customers via mailings, dedicated meetings, telephone calls and company presentations

Initiate marketing activities and participate in trade shows, exhibitions and networking events

Identify feasible new business opportunities and turn them into commercial projects

Qualify and define the project in close cooperation with the technical staff

Assist in legal discussions and drafting contract with customers and suppliers

Be a trusted advisor for your customers and create a long term relationship based on trust

High-level follow-up of projects and presence at important meetings

Maintain supplier relationships and align supplier capabilities with business opportunity needs

Coordinate press releases and contribute to our business communication

Consult regularly with Chief Business Development Officer regarding sales forecast

Competencies

You have a strong technical background in micro-electronics

Strategic sales experience in the semiconductor industry is a must

You are able to set-up a sales and marketing plan and you can interpret P&L

You are eager to bring in new customers and you are driven by customer satisfaction

You have the ability to build relationships at all levels

You have good planning, organizational and problemsolving skills

You have the flexibility to adapt and to meet changing requirements

You are able to travel and to work evenings when required (20%)
