About the job

We are looking for motivated R&D Mechanical Engineer, responsible for the design of rotating machines (parts and assemblies) in the field of kinetic energy storage systems and power generation. She / He drives projects from design specification to prototyping and validation. She / He contributes actively to new product invention, shaping the next generation dynamic UPS, and to continuous improvement of the mtu Kinetic PowerPack.

Key Responsibilities :

• Define design specifications, project planning and participate to prototype testing.
• Identify solutions and make recommendations in line with the technical objectives (performance, safety, compliance with applicable standards, cost).
• Design assemblies, draft parts, write specifications.
• Run technical calculations, in collaboration with specialized engineering teams of the group.
• Assist Operations and Quality Department for the procurement of parts, manufacturing and assembly.
• Assure proper product documentation and certification.
• Actively contribute to product safety management.
