(Senior) Manager - Deals Advisory (Valuations)

The Valuations team, which is part of KPMG's Deals & Strategy practice, assists clients in understanding the true value of businesses, shares and certain assets, in order to support management, company directors, shareholders and/or other stakeholders of companies and of private and public sector organizations in their decision making.

In order to reinforce our Valuations team and to enable further growth, we are looking for a motivated, bright individual with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience for a (Senior) Manager role.

Roles & Responsibilities

What will you do?

As a (Senior) Manager of the Valuations team, you will function within the Deals team with an emphasis on providing valuation advice to clients active in different industry sectors. The valuation advice will mainly include the valuation of businesses, shares and intangible assets (brands, customer relations,...) for various purposes (M&A, accounting, tax, internal reorganisations, disputes,...) and assisting clients with Purchase Price Allocations (IFRS 3) and impairment tests (BE GAAP and IAS 36).

Key responsibilities can be summarized as follows:

• You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of engagements and act as the main point of contact for clients in this process;
• You will be managing workflow and activities of staff and will be coordinating and interacting with other KPMG teams e.g. Audit, Tax & Legal, and Risk;
• You will be coordinating staff to perform market and financial research, analyzing financial statements, conducting pricing or valuation analyses and producing valuation reports;
• You will build or extend your own business network and seek to establish long-lasting relationships with clients by providing advice as a trusted adviser, using your expertise, skills and experience to their advantage.

Skills & Qualifications

You will help our teams and clients to succeed if you have the following qualifications, expertise and skills:

• Masters' degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience (M&A, financial modeling and valuations);
• Knowledge of different valuation techniques that can be applied to value companies, businesses, intangible assets, financial instruments...;
• Experience in managing a team in a fast-moving environment with changing client requirements;
• Strong presentation skills;
• Experience in one or more of the following sectors is considered an asset: Technology, Financial Services, Energy and infrastructure;
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions;
• Excellent organisational and planning skills and able to perform consistently at a high level and at times under high pressure while adhering to strict deadlines;
• Strong experience and willingness to engage in business development;
• You confidently navigate AI topics and are able to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders, make ethically sound decisions and adapt to evolving technologies;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Dutch (essential) and English. Knowledge of French would be an asset.
