Automation Engineer – Siemens TIA Portal

A leading manufacturing company in Belgium is currently looking for an Automation Engineer with strong Siemens TIA Portal experience to support ongoing automation projects across their production environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-speed industrial production lines, delivering automation improvements, troubleshooting complex PLC systems, and supporting modernisation projects.

Responsibilities

• Programming and modifying Siemens PLC systems using TIA Portal (S7-1200 / S7-1500)
• Supporting commissioning and optimisation of automated production lines
• Troubleshooting and resolving automation and control system issues
• Working closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams
• Supporting continuous improvement and automation upgrades
• Participating in commissioning and testing of new machinery and upgrades

Requirements

• Strong experience with Siemens TIA Portal
• Experience with S7 PLC programming (S7-1200 / S7-1500)
• Background in industrial automation within manufacturing
• Experience troubleshooting PLC, HMI, and industrial networks
• English required, Dutch is a strong advantage

Nice to Have

• Experience with WinCC / SCADA
• Commissioning experience
• Experience within food & beverage, packaging, or process manufacturing
