In the Science, Engineering and Technology Group of KU Leuven, Faculty of Bioscience Engineering, Department of Microbial and Molecular Systems, Centre for Membrane separations, Adsorption, Catalysis and Spectroscopy there is a temporary (5 years) part-time (95%) academic vacancy in the field of Photocatalysis and Artificial Photosynthesis, in Leuven (Campus Arenberg). We are looking for internationally oriented candidates with an excellent research record. Candidates have recently been awarded an ERC grant in this area and are willing to perform their research at KU Leuven. Candidates also have educational competence in the field of chemistry and materials science.We are offering a temporary (5 years) part-time (95%) employment in an intellectually challenging environment.

Depending on your record and qualifications, you will be appointed to one of the grades of the senior academic staff for a period of 5 years. The part-time, temporary appointment will start at the same time as the ERC grant and will start no earlier than 01 / 02 / 2026.To facilitate scientific onboarding and accelerate research in the first phase a starting grant of € 110,000 euro is offered to new professors.
