Position
We are looking for a junior enthusiastic lawyer with minimum 2 years experience with a strong IP / IT background and interest in new technologies (such as AI, blockchain) to support Euroclear procurement activities.
You will be part of the IT / IP / Supply Chain legal team and will primarily support Euroclear procurement teams with the negotiation of supplier contracts in an international and innovative context – such will include the drafting and negotiating of non–disclosure agreements, office leases, agreements with insurers, general service agreements, license and maintenance agreements, agreements with utilities providers, IT related contracts, professional services, HR related services, outsourcing and cloud arrangements.
You will be working in a dynamic multinational and multicultural legal division of more than 90 people. The legal division consists of lawyers and paralegal people that are mainly located in Brussels, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm and Helsinki. You will work within the IT / IP / Supply Chain legal team which consists of 4 people with a great spirit.
The job is located in Brussels (hybrid mode).
Role
Your tasks :
- Draft, review and participate in the negotiation ofa wide range of contracts with suppliers in cooperation with Supply chain and / or the business;
- Set standards for supplier contracts (by way of updating the company templates, checklists, playbooks, etc…) and provide relevant training internally;
- Provide assistance in relation to day-to-day supply chain related questions by providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice (. contract law, GDPR, IP, Outsourcing, DORA etc…);
- In general, provide ad-hoc IT / IP / Supply Chain legal assistance (such as research on specific legal problems) to support Euroclear activities including new projects;
- Maintain and develop internal knowledge in the relevant areas of laws , identify potential impact on Euroclear activities and ensure compliance with new regulations;
- Review internal policies, procedures or processes and participate to the internal governance, as the case may be.
Qualifications
Technical skills :
you have a Master Degree in law (preferably in IT, IP, general contract law);with minimum 2 years of relevant experience in an international context with particular focus on ICT;experience in (IT related) contract drafting and contract negotiation in English is a must;fluent in English. Knowledge of a second / third language is a plus;interest in new technologies (data, blockchain, cloud based solutions, AI…);previous experience in the financial sector or other regulated sector is a plus.Soft skills :
