What you will be doing

We are seeking an experienced senior accountant with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a mid-sized international company to join our Finance team in Brussels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for diverse accounting tasks,

The day-to-day tasks of the role will include but are not limited to :

• Perform all the periodic closing activities / reporting linked to the Accounting from A to Z : make the necessary journal entrees, salary posting and reconciliation, balance sheet accounts reconciliations, perform ICO matching etc.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to the junior accountant
• Prepare Cash Flow Forecasts and make variance analysis
• Review and execute payments
• Be responsible for all of the Belgian Governmental declarations linked to the accounting including like VAT, Intrastat, Annual accounts.
• Being the main point of contact for the auditors and doing the coordination and follow up of open items with finance colleagues
• Implement process and system optimisations (including digitalisation)
• Take on other reasonable duties as agreed with the manager
