Department : Group Tax, reporting to the Group CFO

About the Role

Lead Euroclear Group’s global tax function with primary focus on corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and VAT. Collaborate with business partners to drive strategic transformation.

Lead a team of tax professionals, drive tax strategy, ensure compliance, and stay ahead of regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and implement a forward-looking tax strategy aligned with Euroclear’s business transformation and growth.
  • Embed tax structuring and optimization into the broader framework of financial and strategic decision-making.

Tax Expertise

  • Focus on corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and VAT, while ensuring oversight of Euroclear Group's tax initiatives.
  • Ensure robust compliance with international and domestic tax laws and evolving regulatory frameworks.

    • Business Partnering & Collaborator Engagement

  • Tax accounting and compliance operations are run by a different team. You will share accountability for the performance of this collaboration with the Group Accounting Director (Olivier M)
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating tax impacts into business terms.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Risk, Product Management, Commercial and Operations to align tax with enterprise priorities.
  • Represent Euroclear in discussions with tax authorities, regulators, and external advisors.

    • Risk Management & Optimization

  • Identify and mitigate tax risks while uncovering opportunities for efficiency and value creation.
  • Lead tax audits and be an excellent partner with external tax bodies.

    • Leadership & Team Development

  • Encourage, lead, and grow a high-performing tax team.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.

    • Your Profile

  • 15+ years’ experience in corporate tax leadership in a multinational environment.
  • Strong understanding of international tax law, with a track record in (Belgian) corporate income taxation, transfer pricing, VAT, and compliance frameworks.
  • Understanding of accounting rules and their tax implications.
  • Proven ability to translate tax complexity into business impact.
  • Outstanding partner management and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring tax teams and developing talent.
  • Master’s degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, or Law; equivalent experience in the field is acceptable. Additional qualifications (., ITAA) are a plus.
  • Native proficiency in French or Dutch, with strong command of English.
