As lab responsible you are in charge to make the non-clean rooms labs and its users working in the most efficient and safe way.

What you will do

You will be part of the Lab Operations & Coordination department. As a member of our ULSO team (Ubiquitous Lab Support and Operations), you will play a key role in keeping imec’s labs outside the cleanroom organized, efficient and safe.

• You are part of a team of 3 hardware engineers, 2 measurement engineers and 2 other labs responsible, keeping labs outside the cleanroom running. You work closely together with your colleagues daily.
• The lab responsible is a dedicated point of contact for lab users and researchers to implement new tools and processes.
• Together with the researchers you make risk assessments to create save procedures for new and adjusted processes.
• You take care of all what is needed to work in the lab : tools, consumables, personal protective equipment, ...
• You train new lab users and provide access to the labs via the available procedures.
• You set up lab rules and guard them.
• Together with the hardware engineers you make or adjust the floor plans with an eye on ergonomic, efficient and practical use.
• You maintain data platforms which support the lab working and keep them up to date.
• You organize meetings on a regular basis with all lab employees involved.
