The candidate will lead early-stage drug discovery programs , mostly based on small molecules and occasionally on therapeutic antibodies. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of the assay flowchart from hit identification over hit- and lead- optimization up to selection of a preclinical drug candidate. You will be expected to manage and follow-up all biology-related scientific and non-scientific aspects of the projects (including planning, timelines and budget) also in collaboration with partners (academic, CRO’s, biotech / pharma). In addition to working with our internal lab team in a matrix-structure, you may also be expected to execute lab-based activities in support of one or multiple projects. The candidate will report on progress of the project and ensure an overall good communication between the internal and external partners involved. The candidate will report to the Director of Drug Discovery (Biology).
Profile :
5 year productive post-doc experience, illustrated by high-quality publications and / or direct experience in working in Biotech or Pharma.
