Java Developer

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Contract Type: Ongoing contract

Citizenship Requirement: EU Citizen

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • French is an asset.
  • Documentation will be written in English.

Role Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join their team in Brussels. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java and related technologies, providing expert-level support to meet service requirements and adhere to the Service Level Agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Java and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Mandatory Specific Expertise: Candidates must demonstrate the following expertise:

  • Java: At least 6 years of experience with Java.
  • Web Technologies: At least 2 years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Angular: At least 2 years of experience with Angular (version 2 or later).
  • Spring Framework: At least 5 years of experience with the Spring framework.
  • JPA/Hibernate: At least 5 years of experience with JPA or Hibernate.
  • SQL: At least 5 years of experience with SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
