Internship in the Investment Team

D’Ieteren Group is looking for a top-performing master student for a 6 months internship to be part of the investment team. The investment team is responsible for sourcing and analysing prospective investment opportunities, deal execution as well as monitoring the development of portfolio companies.

• D’Ieteren Immo (100% owned) – the real estate arm of D’Ieteren Group in Belgium, which actively develops and manages the real estate portfolio of D’Ieteren Group
• TVH (40% owned) – the global independent leader in the distribution of aftermarket parts for material handling, construction & industrial and agricultural equipment
• PHE (100% owned) – the omni-channel distribution leader in the independent aftermarket for vehicles’ spare parts, holding strong positions in Western Europe

Position description

• Conduct sector/market studies and market screenings to identify attractive companies
• Analyze potential investment opportunities (company and market research, financial and valuation analysis, etc.)
• Assist the team on ongoing/live situations (commercial and financial due diligence, modelling, etc.)
• Support the team on portfolio management (M&A analysis, company strategy analysis, etc.)

Profile

• Master’s student or early graduate in business/finance/engineering with excellent academic results
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modelling (Excel) and PowerPoint
• Proactive attitude, deep sense of ownership, and interest in private equity/investment
• Fluency in English, and knowledge of other languages (French or Dutch) is a plus
• Prior consulting, banking, investment experience is a plus
