We are looking for a Technical Manager E&A to support our sales organization and actively contribute to project execution

YOU ACT

The E&A Technical Manager serves as the primary point of contact with internal and external teams during sales projects. The role ensures the delivery of the most appropriate technical solution, combining competitiveness with full alignment to customer requirements. During the execution phase, you can act as Project Manager, ensuring effective coordination, timely delivery, and compliance with technical, commercial, and contractual requirements.

As such, you will be responsible when acting as Technical Manager for:

• Act as the primary representative of SMS group toward the customer throughout the sales project lifecycle.
• Review, analyze, and clarify customer documentation and technical specifications.
• Define electrical and automation system in accordance with the customer request.
• Develop and validate budget, including material and engineering costs, and actively participate in risk assessment meetings.
• Present and technically defend project proposals to customers.
• Lead regular project discussions and negotiations with customers and consortium partners
• Attending technical meetings in collaboration with the design office;
• Ensure full compliance with the requirements and governance of the overall sales project

In Addition, you will be responsible when acting as Project Manager for:

• Managing projects in all their internal and external aspects, with overall responsibility for achieving project goals;
• Monitoring and handling both the technical and commercial aspects of the contract with the project team (scheduling, budgeting, documentation, testing, and acceptance certificates);
• Acting as the interface between the client, external partners, and internal departments;
• Ensure full compliance with the requirements and governance of the overall execution project

Finally :

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of technological processes and project management;
• Ensuring compliance with “Health, Safety, and Environment” requirements;
• Guaranteeing client satisfaction while safeguarding the company’s interests.

YOU KNOW

Required Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in Technical sales/Project management E&A

Education Level: Master’s degree (civil or industrial engineering)

• Proven track record of closing high-value technical sales
• Experience with instrumentation and control systems.in the industrial sector.
• Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and leadership skills;
• Resilient under stress;
• Autonomous and customer-oriented;
• Willingness to travel;
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, SAP);
• Strong team player capable of rallying others toward a common goal;
• Fluent in French and English; knowledge of another language is a plus (especially German).
