Business Controller

Join the Redwire Space team in developing and fielding end-to-end innovative mission critical space system solutions for next generation space architecture. At Redwire, you will work closely with customers from concept development through mission operations to ensure mission success.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Financial Business Controller to strengthen our finance team. This role is focused on leading the full financial planning cycle, including budgeting and forecasting, delivering high-quality management reporting and financial analysis, and partnering closely with operations and leadership to improve business performance. You will be responsible for translating financial data into actionable insights, strengthening financial discipline across the organization, and helping to raise finance literacy at all levels.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate financial concepts in an accessible and assertive way to non-financial stakeholders.
Given the size of the organization, the role also serves as backup and support for the Financial Controller during month-end close activities. You will report to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycle and support business planning.
Prepare and analyze management reporting, variance analysis and performance insights.
Support the Leadership Team, Project Managers, and PMO with financial analysis and decision support.
Partner with operations to improve project and business performance.
Promote finance literacy across the organization and explain financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
Support financial governance and internal controls within a SOX-compliant environment.
Support and act as a back-up for the month-end close

Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Controller or similar role.
Strong FP&A, analytical, and business partnering skills.
Solid accounting knowledge and hands-on mentality.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
Familiarity with IFRS and/or US GAAP reporting environments and SOX is a plus.
Experience in a project-oriented business environment, preferably engineering or industrial projects is a plus.
