Job Description

• Organisation continues to build a hybrid data and information landscape in which an SAP-oriented data platform including SAP BW and HANA systems is combined with a modern data platform in Microsoft Azure.
• Power BI serves as the central reporting tool for business reporting and analytics.
  Data from various sources and applications are made accessible to these platforms which are structured into different data and information layers and integrated with one another.
• This forms the basis for realizing business reporting advanced analytics use cases and data-driven decision-making within the organization.
• Historically data warehouses were primarily built within the SAP stack including SAP BW HANA and SAC. Due to growing BI and analytics needs across all domains company is evolving towards a hybrid data landscape with a further expansion of the Azure Databricks data platform and a phased transition per domain.
• SAP data is processed within the SAP-oriented data platforms evolving towards SAP Datasphere.
  Non-SAP data is processed within the Azure Databricks data platform.
  Combined data processing takes place within the Azure Databricks data platform.
• To support this evolution company operates with a domain-based organization of data teams. Within this structure data and BI specialists develop data and information products tailored to the needs of their respective domains.
• In this context we are looking for a senior SAP BW/4HANA consultant to provide support in the management and further evolution of the existing SAP BW/4HANA environment.
• The consultant takes on maintenance assignments supports ongoing initiatives and contributes to the integration and transition to the hybrid data and information landscape on a project basis.
• The assignment is situated within a complex enterprise environment. The consultant works closely with business stakeholders within the Corporate domains such as Supply Chain HR and Finance and aligns with IT teams data engineers cloud specialists and other BI profiles.

• Demonstrable experience as a BI Consultant - 5 Years Senior - Must have
• Demonstrable experience as an SAP BW / BI consultant - 5 Years Senior - Must have
• Demonstrable experience with the SAP BW reporting tool Analysis for Office - Must have
• Demonstrable experience in leading and guiding a team of specialists - Must have
• Demonstrable experience with modeling in a SAP BW (BW-on-HANA/BW4/HANA) context - 5 Years Senior - Must have
• The candidate can demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills during an interview. - Must have
• Language requirement: Dutch-speaking at European CEFR level C2 - Must have
• Demonstrable experience with HANA Calculation Views is a plus. - Should have
• Demonstrable experience with project management (Agile / Scrum and/or classical methodology) - Should have

Context

You will join a self-organizing Scrum data team of SAP BI and MS Azure data & BI experts within which the following activities are performed:

• Analysis of business and information needs and translation into high-performance SAP BI solutions in alignment with the various business and IT stakeholders (information analysts information stewards key users application experts etc.).
• Design and optimization of data models in BW/4HANA and SAP HANA in accordance with BI regulations.
• Responsible for the technical implementation within a SAP BI environment and support with the integration into an MS Azure environment.
• Support maintenance and optimization of the existing SAP BW/4HANA environment by following the development cycle standard within these platforms.
• Support for operational functioning (incident change and release management).
• Contributing to the lifecycle management and updates/upgrades of the existing environments.
• Advisory role regarding a future-oriented BI and data architecture.
• Knowledge sharing within the team and support for less experienced consultants when necessary.
• Assisting the business in the use of reporting and analysis tools or providing them with training.

Additionally:

• Given the strong interaction with the business a very good command of Dutch (both spoken and written) is necessary.
• Based on his/her expertise this person must be able to fully integrate into the existing team within 2 weeks. Self-organization and a strong learning ability are essential qualities in this regard.
