The Vlerick Learning Hub supports the School in designing and developing learning journeys strengthening pedagogical quality embedding digital learning innovation and experimenting with new approaches such as AI VR personalised learning and blended formats.

Your mission

As Senior Learning Designer you will design develop and improve impactful learning journeys with and for our Business Units and faculty. You will combine strong pedagogical expertise with a pragmatic understanding of business needs learner experience and digital learning possibilities.

You will play an important role in supporting the MBA and Executive Education business units with a focus on blended and online learning journeys pedagogical renewal and learning impact. You will also contribute to broader Learning Hub initiatives in AI learning innovation and faculty training.

More specifically you will:

• Lead MBA course redesigns including new light and more substantial redesign work with attention to consistency pedagogical quality and learner impact.
• Support Executive Education teams in designing blended and digital learning solutions that respond to customer needs and market expectations.
• Closely collaborate with Learning Builders on the development of learning assets digital activities tools simulations and learning platforms.
• Advise faculty and programme teams on pedagogy blended learning digital learning formats assessment design and the meaningful use of educational technology.
• Apply and further develop Vlericks learning design tools and methods such as learning design canvases blueprints storyboards and design guidelines.
• Contribute to capability building by developing guidance workshops templates and practical support for faculty and internal teams.
• Constantly seek ways to increase the learning impact by monitoring success processing feedback from all stakeholders and analysing learning consumption behaviour.
• Continuously be on the lookout for new pedagogical approaches and learner needs.

You

• Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in pedagogy instructional design learning experience design and/or educational innovation.
• Have a masters degree preferably in an education-related field or equivalent expertise through experience.
• Have experience with blended or digitally supported learning formats.
• Are able to translate complex learning needs into clear engaging and effective learning journeys.
• Are able to work with faculty programme teams and learning builders balancing pedagogical quality with practical feasibility.
• Communicate clearly and confidently and know how to advise challenge and support stakeholders constructively
• Are comfortable managing several projects at the same time and can plan prioritise and deliver in a dynamic environment.
• Have a good level of knowledge concerning digital content creation tools and learning platforms.
• Are fluent in English both written and spoken.
• Want to work on one of our beautiful campuses in Brussels or Ghent in combination with your home office.
