Video Editor

As a Freelance Video Editor you will produce high-quality video content for VECTRAs marketing channels.
You will work closely with our Creative Lead to transform raw footage webinar recordings interviews and
other source material into compelling short-form and long-form video content optimized for social media
website and marketing campaigns.
This role requires both traditional video editing expertise and proficiency with AI-powered video tools to
maximize efficiency and creative quality. Youll manage multiple projects simultaneously meet tight
deadlines and maintain consistent brand quality across all deliverables.

Tasks

Short-Form Video Production
Edit engaging reels shorts and social media videos (15-60 seconds) for LinkedIn Instagram TikTok
YouTube Shorts
Create visually compelling short-form content from webinars interviews case studies and thought
leadership material
Optimize videos for platform-specific requirements (aspect ratios captions thumbnails etc.)
Maintain consistent pacing transitions and visual style aligned with VECTRA brand guidelines
Produce 12-16 short-form videos per month

Long-Form Video Editing
Edit webinar recordings interviews educational content and campaign videos (5-30 minutes)
Add graphics lower thirds callouts and visual enhancements to improve clarity and engagement
Incorporate B-roll stock footage and motion graphics to enhance storytelling
Color grade and audio mix for professional quality output
Produce 4-6 long-form videos per month

AI-Powered Video Production & Optimization
Utilize AI video editing tools (Descript Opus Clip Synthesia Runway etc.) to accelerate production
and enhance creativity
Use AI for automated transcription subtitle generation and caption optimization
Leverage AI tools for background removal scene detection and intelligent editing
Create video thumbnails promotional graphics transcripts and captions
Experiment with AI-generated graphics animations and visual effects while balancing efficiency with
authenticity
Stay current with emerging AI video tools and capabilities

Video Asset Management & Quality Assurance
Organize and manage video files footage and assets in a centralized system
Create and maintain video editing templates for consistency and efficiency
Ensure all videos meet technical specifications and quality standards
Review videos for consistency with brand guidelines messaging and tone
Test videos across multiple platforms and devices
Optimize video file sizes and formats for web delivery
Maintain version control and backup systems for all projects

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with Creative Lead on project briefs and creative direction
Communicate project status timelines and blockers proactively
Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently
Collaborate with content team to understand messaging and storytelling objectives
Stay current with video editing trends techniques and best practices
Propose creative ideas and innovations to enhance VECTRAs video content
Track video performance metrics and provide insights on what works

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of professional video editing experience
Proven portfolio of short-form and long form video content (reels shorts webinars
interviewseducational videos)
Proficiency with professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro Adobe Creative Suite
(Photoshop After Effects) Final Cut Pro DaVinci Resolve or equivalent)
Strong understanding of video formats codecs frame rates and resolution standards
Proficiency with color grading and audio editing
Experience with AI-powered video editing tools (Descript Opus Clip or similar)
Familiarity with AI transcription and subtitle generation tools
Willingness to learn and experiment with new AI video tools
Strong visual storytelling and creative sensibility
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Formal training in video editing film production or related field (degree bootcamp or equivalent
professional experience)
