Within Corporate Tax, we are looking for a consultant to join our Global Compliance & Reporting team in the Antwerp/Hasselt office.

Our Global Compliance &Reporting team assists both international and Belgian companies with direct tax compliance and reporting obligations, tax controversy, tax accounting reporting, tax risk management, tax on site assistance and tax function assessments. Closely collaborating with financial and accounting experts, Global Compliance & Reporting dives into the financial data of our clients to translate it into tax solutions. By closely teaming with our other tax & law specialists, our aim is to be the trusted business advisor for our clients.

In this role, you will help guide our clients through the complexities of tax reporting and contribute to shaping the future of corporate tax services.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Consultant in the Global Compliance & Reporting department, you will support the team in their day-to-day activities and help them with preparatory work. Your role will consist of supporting with the following tasks that are part of the package of our team members:

• Familiarize yourself with the financial reporting processes of our clients, focusing on the financial data impacting their tax position.
• Ensure our clients comply with all relevant Belgian tax compliance obligations and assist them with day-to-day Belgian tax compliance services, including assistance during tax audits. The implementation of Pillar II and other international tax legislation into our Belgian compliance processes is part of this compliance package.
• Identify and implement process improvements in our clients’ tax compliance processes.
• Pro-actively follow up, communicate and collaborate with the team regarding your assigned client portfolio.
• Be eager to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest changes within the Belgian tax legislation.
• Adopt fast changing technologies and digital transformations.
• Assist with the preparation of client proposals, internal and external presentations and client meetings.
• You will stay up-to-date regarding market changes and develop a broader knowledge around your client portfolio.
• Work effectively as a member of a worldwide network of professional advisors, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.

Your Profile

You have/are:

• finishing your Bachelor in accountancy, tax and/or finance /Master’s degree in economics or law (a supplementary degree in fiscal matters is a plus).
• Client and market focused, team player, stress resistant and an excellent communicator.
• Desire to learn and develop into the role.
• Fluent in French or Dutch and good knowledge of English.
