You will be part of our International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) team, supporting entrepreneurs, companies and business owners in achieving their operational goals in a tax-effective manner. Our group combines three competencies: transfer pricing, transaction tax, domestic and international tax advisory and this job profile relates to the tax advisory competency.

Our practice helps financial sponsors, private capital enterprises and multinational corporations proactively address challenges by bringing globally connected services to all tax aspects of their business, operational and investment models, corporate structure, treasury management and overall tax and transaction strategy. This encompasses the client’s full transaction life cycle, from strategy and corporate finance, through to acquisition, optimization and eventual disposal.

Through our international network across the globe, our support covers domestic and international tax matters in all countries needed. In the fast changing international (tax) landscape with plenty of economic and political pressure, we use our expertise and network to guide our clients in risk mitigation, planning, compliance and controversy.

Today’s tax planning blends technology and business acumen to focus on consistency, compliance and the organization’s strategic objectives. Careful tax planning is critical for business success in an unpredictable global economy. Tax planning is also necessary for individuals who face their own challenges owning, managing and preserving businesses and wealth in a complex regulatory environment.

We are looking for Interns for this growing cross-competence team. Our teams work integrated and flexible across of our offices in Diegem, Antwerp, Ghent, Hasselt, and Liège.

Your key responsibilities
As a Corporate Tax Advisory intern,

you will help businesses meet complex demands for tax reporting, compliance, planning and tax controversy for national and international organizations. As an intern, we support you to grow in the following tasks:

• Advise companies on their choices and on their tax strategy development on a national and international level.
• Help companies dealing with tax procedures by preparing tax declarations, assisting them during tax audits, following up disputes/discussions with tax authorities, preparing and handing in rulings.
• Stay up to date regarding market changes and develop a broader knowledge around your client portfolio.
• Maintain long-term collaborative and profitable relationships with the client.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with your colleagues.

What we look for

• You will obtain a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Tax and/or Finance / Master degree in (preferably Tax) Law / Applied Economics / Commercial Engineering / Commercial Science or a Postgraduate in Tax.
• You have good verbal and written skills in Dutch/French and English.
• You are client and market focused with a hands-on attitude.
• You are curious, innovative and a good team player.
